Yvi has been practising Yoga since 1998 when she encountered the wealth of wisdom that yoga philosophy has to offer during a visit to the internationally renowned yoga ashram Bihar Yoga Bharati in India. The teachings and life style she experienced left such a profound impression on Yvi that she continued to live there for the next nine years. During this time she had the wonderful opportunity to study the ancient subjects of Yoga, Samkhya, Vedanta, Tantra and other allied subjects.
She attained a Diploma course in yogic studies in 1999 and received initiation into Sannyasa in 2000 thus underlining her commitment to a life style dedicated to spiritual growth. In 2008 she completed the Yoga Teacher Training at the Atma Centre, Ohio, USA. Since 2010, after being blessed with a wonderful little baby girl, Yvi has also been teaching Pregnancy yoga. She completed her training as an accredited Pregnancy yoga teacher with the very inspirational womb yoga founder Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
